Lacey A. Locke Associate
Lacey A. Locke concentrates her practice in medical malpractice defense including the representation of physicians and hospitals in complex matters. She also handles premises liability, general negligence, and long-term care cases. Prior to joining SBH, Lacey clerked at various medical malpractice firms and externed in-house at a nationally ranked healthcare system in Chicago.
Lacey earned her Juris Doctor with a concentration in Trial Advocacy & Dispute Resolution from UIC School of Law in 2021. While attending, Lacey served as the Student Bar Association President and as an Associate Barrister of the Trial Advocacy Honors Board. She was named the 2020-2021 UIC John Marshall Spirit of Excellence Award recipient for her contributions to the school and was also named to the Order of Barristers. Lacey was a national qualifier in the ABA Mediation Competition and a UIC Trifecta Trial Competition champion. She received two top-grade awards, was on Dean’s List, and served as a Teaching Assistant for Appellate Advocacy.
Lacey earned her bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University in 2017. She was a four-year Division 1 swimmer and 2-time team captain for the Wildcats. Lacey is an avid Wildcat fan!
