Randy Brill       Associate

Randy Brill joined Smith Blake Hill LLC as an associate in 2019. He practices in the area of civil litigation with a focus on medical malpractice defense.  Prior to joining Smith Blake Hill, Randy worked as a law clerk at a prominent Chicago firm where he assisted attorneys on complex civil and commercial litigation matters. Randy also served as a judicial extern for Federal District Judge John W. Darrah where he gained experience necessary for all stages of litigation, including legal research, drafting court orders and opinions, and managing discovery.

Randy graduated from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2018. During law school, he was a member of Loyola’s Consumer Law Review and worked as a teaching assistant in a first-year contracts class. Randy obtained his undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Iowa. While there, he explored studies in both biology and chemistry, and spent much of his spare time volunteering at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics’ Surgical Intensive Care Unit.  Randy is admitted to practice in Illinois.


Randy is an active member of the Lesbian and Gay Bar Association of Chicago. When not working, you will find him enjoying the outdoors, running along Chicago’s lakefront, and checking in at new food venues across the Chicagoland area.
