Davida Berk focuses her career on civil litigation and healthcare professional liability claims. She concentrates her practice on the defense of physicians, nurses, hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and the providers therein. She previously practiced premises liability, commercial litigation, general tort law, civil rights 1983 litigation, and healthcare law.
Ms. Berk has successfully represented numerous medical clients in all facts of the litigation process, from filing of the case, up to and including trial. She takes pride in representing her clients zealously, and believes communication is key to successful resolution of a case. Ms. Berk successfully tried several cases to verdict with defense verdicts in favor of her clients. She is an aggressive litigator who has represented numerous clients in both State and Federal Court. She is admitted to the State Bar of Illinois, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and the Federal Trial Bar.
Ms. Berk was born in Chicago. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Illinois in Chicago where she was a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society. She earned her Juris Doctorate degree cum laude from The John Marshall Law School. While at John Marshall, she was awarded the Corpus Juris Secundum Award for Excellence in Property, and was also an Associate Justice and Executive Board Member of the John Marshall Moot Court. Ms. Berk also won several Moot Court Competitions while in Law School.
Ms. Berk has sat on charitable boards and currently resides in the Chicago Area with her husband and Golden Retriever.
