Lynne Damsma focuses her career on defending hospitals, nurses, physicians, physical therapists, locum tenens physicians, and medical corporations against claims of medical negligence.  Ms. Damsma also has extensive experience representing nursing homes, long-term care facilities, assisted living facilities and providers therein.  Additionally, she has worked with Veteran's hospitals and clinics, mental health professionals, and traveling and agency nurses.

For 20 years, Ms. Damsma has successfully represented numerous medical clients throughout all phases of litigation from initial case filing through trial, mediation, and arbitration.  A majority of these cases have involved highly complex medical issues, including birth injury, permanent brain injury, and death, as well as potential for millions of dollars in exposure.  Ms. Damsma prides herself on being proactive in the defense of her clients, by outlining a clear strategy and course of action from the outset of litigation.  By developing a partnership with her clients, Ms. Damsma's work is executed with purpose and focus.  While acting as a lead attorney in the work-up and preparation of cases for trial, she simultaneously mentors and trains younger associates so they can smoothly navigate the litigation process and carry on the high standards the firm holds for its clients.

In addition to medical negligence, Ms. Damsma has successfully represented physicians in licensing actions and disputes.  She has also represented clients in other areas of civil litigation, including products liability, personal injury, pharmaceutical negligence, and premises liability.
