In response to a $3 million demand, Jenny Blake filed and won summary judgment in a medical malpractice and common-law fraud claim and won a Section 2-615 motion to dismiss plaintiff’s breach of fiduciary duty claim. On November 19, 2015, the 1st District Appellate Court affirmed the dismissal of the case. On March 31, 2016, the Illinois Supreme Court declined to review the case thereby affirming the dismissal of the case in its entirety against our hospital client.
