Meet Marla Zappa!

Meet Marla Zappa, an incoming Associate Attorney at SBH. Originally from Springfield, Illinois, Marla earned a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration from Auburn University. She then attended Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctor and Certificate in Advocacy. 

Prior to joining SBH, Marla worked as a law clerk at both a prominent criminal defense firm and a big law firm in Chicago. While in law school, Marla served as a writer for Loyola's Public Interest Journal, publishing two articles in 2023-24. Marla discovered her passion for trial advocacy through the prestigious Corboy Mock Trial Fellowship where she competed on a national level and honed her courtroom skills. 

In her free time, Marla enjoys spoiling her niece and nephew, trying new restaurants, and keeping up with reality TV.  She can be found wearing orange and blue every weekend cheering on the Chicago Bears and Auburn Tigers. Bear Down and War Eagle!
