Skylar Nafziger practices civil litigation with a concentration in medical malpractice defense. Before joining SBH, she gained valuable experience working as a law clerk at several prominent firms in Chicago, where she assisted with criminal defense and general liability matters. She also served as a Student Attorney with the International Human Rights Clinic at the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law.

 

In 2025, Ms. Nafziger earned her J.D. from UIC Law, graduating cum laude, with Dean’s List honors and recognition for academic excellence, including CALI Awards in both Contracts II and Lawyering Skills II. While in law school, she was a member of the Moot Court Honors Council and served as a Lead Articles Editor and Head Staff Editor of the UIC Law Review. During her final year, she worked as a Research Assistant, focusing on legal scholarship related to medical negligence and the Rules of Evidence.

 

Ms. Nafziger earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she double-majored in Political Science and Spanish, was a member of the Honors Program, and received Dean’s List honors.
